Drew Gulak returns to the indie wrestling scene following his departure from WWE.
Beyond Wrestling has confirmed Gulak for its Americanrana ’24 event in Worcester, Massachusetts, on July 4. This marks Gulak’s first confirmed appearance since WWE opted not to renew his contract.
Last month, reports surfaced that Gulak was part of the NXT roster cuts. At a press conference in France after the WWE Backlash, Paul “Triple H” Levesque clarified that Gulak had not been released and his contract had not been renewed.
Levesque did not address whether Gulak’s departure was related to an incident with Ronda Rousey. Rousey had alleged that Gulak pulled on the string of her sweatpants during a backstage incident in 2022. Gulak responded, stating that it was a “complete accident” when he went to shake her hand.
Gulak has been with WWE since 2016. Before joining WWE, he was a regular at indie promotions like Beyond Wrestling.
Beyond Wrestling has yet to announce Gulak’s opponent for Americanrana. The event will stream live on IndependentWrestling.TV.
