Becky Lynch recently dropped her Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan at WWE King & Queen of the Ring. Seeking revenge, Lynch aimed for a rematch on RAW this week but faced another defeat. With her contract expiry looming, her future plans have now come to light.
Lynch’s WWE contract is set to expire this week, and it seems her latest appearance on RAW might be her last before signing a new deal. Reports indicate that she won’t be re-signing with WWE at this moment.
On the May 27 edition of RAW, Lynch’s failure to regain the Women’s World Championship left fans speculating about her WWE tenure and next moves.
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shed light on Lynch’s plans post-WWE. He noted that Lynch intends to take an extended leave, likely for a significant period. Meltzer mentioned that with her husband, Seth Rollins, also not on the road, it makes sense for Lynch to take time off as well. “She’s taking an extended leave, that’s what I was told. It’s not for a short period of time. It’s for a long period of time. If he’s [Seth Rollins] not on the road, it makes sense for her not to be on the road. They can’t be hurting for money right now, like they need it now,” Meltzer explained.
Tony Khan has expressed interest in potentially signing Lynch. However, it remains to be seen what Becky Lynch will decide during her absence from pro wrestling, as fans believe this break is something she truly needs.
