Asuka, one of WWE’s most dynamic performers, has confirmed taking time off to address a knee injury. This announcement came after she was notably absent from the Queen of The Ring tournament on last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. The news was initially shared by her stablemate Dakota Kai, who revealed that Asuka had sustained an undisclosed injury, preventing her participation in the tournament.

The Empress of Tomorrow has not appeared on television since her last Backlash match, prompting fan speculation. To clarify her situation, Asuka went to her YouTube channel, where she was updated about her condition and recovery plans. In the video, Asuka expressed gratitude towards her Damage CTRL teammates, Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane, for their support during WWE’s recent European tour.

Asuka shared, “After Backlash and the European tour, I had to take a break to treat my knee that I had been hurting for a while. My partners Kairi and Dakota helped me a lot during this tour as I could not move at my best. I am very grateful to both of them.”

Earlier in the year, Asuka experienced an injury scare, but it was later revealed she was not injured. This time, however, she confirmed the need for a break to properly treat her knee, underscoring the seriousness of the situation. Fans and colleagues alike have extended their well-wishes for a speedy recovery, eagerly anticipating her return to the ring.

Given her exceptional skills and popularity, WWE will lose significant losses if Asuka is absent. However, her focus on recovery is crucial to ensuring she returns stronger and continues to deliver high-caliber performances.
