TNA Wrestling recently announced the extension of Josh Alexander’s contract by one year, securing his presence with the promotion until at least February 2025. This decision comes after Alexander signed a two-year extension in 2022, which included an option for TNA to add another year to the deal.

In an interview with the Battleground Podcast, Alexander shared his thoughts on the contract extension. Despite initially harboring hopes of exploring free agency and renegotiating his deal, he acknowledges TNA’s right to exercise the contract option. Alexander emphasizes his satisfaction with the current arrangement, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to continue his journey with TNA.

Reflecting on his career and the recent developments, Alexander states, “I signed that deal two years ago. I knew what I was signing when I signed it. At the end of the day, at the end of my career, I want to be able to look in the mirror, hold my head high, and say that I carried myself as a professional first and foremost above anything else I do in this business.”

Addressing speculations surrounding his contract status, Alexander clarifies that he does not feel “held hostage” by TNA and reiterates his commitment to fulfilling his contractual obligations. While Anthem, TNA’s parent company, has expressed interest in negotiating a long-term deal, Alexander remains open to exploring his options in the future.

Josh Alexander, a prominent figure in TNA Wrestling since 2019, has significantly impacted the promotion with two World Championship reigns. As he continues his journey with TNA, fans eagerly anticipate the following chapters in his career.
