Rose Prioritizes Training Over Reality TV Fame
Mandy Rose, a familiar face to WWE enthusiasts, recently shed light on her brief appearance on the reality show “Total Divas” during a chat on the “Power Alphas Podcast.”
Rose’s decision to limit her participation to just one season of “Total Divas” stemmed from her commitment to honing her wrestling skills. She emphasized, “The schedule was intense. Contrary to popular belief, I wasn’t training at the Performance Center. It’s evident that without consistent practice, my performance wasn’t up to the mark.”
During the fifth season of “Total Divas,” which aired from January to April 2016, Rose shared the screen with notable names like The Bella Twins, Alicia Fox, Paige (currently Saraya in AEW), Natalya, Rosa Mendes, and Eva Marie. It’s worth noting that during this period, Rose was primarily involved in WWE NXT house show events, having joined WWE after her commendable performance as a runner-up on “WWE Tough Enough.”
Rose’s journey saw her ascend to WWE’s primary roster by November 2017. Her wrestling career featured notable alliances and rivalries, including her association with Sonya Deville in Fire & Desire and a memorable storyline involving Otis. A significant turn in her career came in July 2021 when she formed Toxic Attraction alongside Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne. Her dedication bore fruit when she clinched the NXT Women’s Championship, besting Raquel Rodriguez in a unique Chucky’s Choice Trick or Street Fight during the NXT Halloween Havoc event. However, her reign was short-lived, as Roxanne Perez claimed the title in December 2022. A day after this event, Rose parted ways with WWE.
