The Former WWE Star Addresses His Release and Future Plans

The wrestling community has been buzzing with the recent wave of WWE releases, and one name that stood out was Rick Boogs. The charismatic talent, known for his association with Shinsuke Nakamura, has finally broken his silence regarding his departure from the company.

Boogs, who last graced the WWE ring at SummerSlam 2023 during the Slim Jim Battle Royal, addressed the topic in a recent workout video. He said, ” everyone’s curious about my WWE exit. But here’s the deal – I’m still tied to the company for another three months. So, until my birthday on December 21, I’m contractually bound. That day will mark a new chapter for me.”

Interestingly, Boogs has been more candid in the YouTube comments section, expressing his feelings about the changes in WWE’s management. He stated, “The departure of Vince was a turning point for my career.” A detailed exploration of his comments is available for those keen on diving deeper into his sentiments.

Before his injury, Boogs had formed a notable alliance with Shinsuke Nakamura. However, a severe injury at WrestleMania 38, involving a torn quadriceps and patellar tendon, sidelined him. Though he made a comeback in January 2023, his appearances were sporadic, leading to speculation about his position in the company.

With his contract expiration looming, the wrestling world is eager to see where Rick Boogs will land next. Will he venture into the independent circuit or join another major promotion? Only time will tell.
