WWE SmackDown’s recent tribute episode dedicated to the late Bray Wyatt and wrestling legend Terry Funk witnessed a significant spike in both ratings and viewership. The episode, aired on August 28, 2023, garnered a 0.79 rating in the 18-49 demographic and amassed a viewership of 2.647 million. This marked a substantial increase of 41.8% and 26.4% from the preceding week’s figures, which stood at a 0.55 demo rating and an audience of 2.094 million.
These numbers are particularly noteworthy as they represent the highest ratings and viewership for SmackDown since the Christmas Day 2020 episode. That episode, which had the advantage of an NFL game as a direct lead-in, recorded a 0.96 demo rating and 3.335 million viewers.
For the year 2023, SmackDown’s average metrics are a 0.606 demo rating and 2.299 million viewers. This is a commendable improvement from 2022, which averaged a 0.515 demo rating and 2.124 million viewers.
