The Rated-R Superstar Speaks on Retiring on His Own Terms and the Possibility of Joining AEW

Edge, the iconic Rated-R Superstar, recently wrestled his last match under his WWE contract in Toronto against Sheamus. This poignant moment was followed by his announcement that he wouldn’t be wrestling in his home city again. With no new deal inked with WWE, the wrestling community is rife with speculation about Edge’s next move.

Ringside News has reported an internal belief within WWE that Edge might be heading to AEW, a sentiment echoed by some within AEW. As of now, Edge continues to honor the remainder of his WWE contract. During a segment on WWE’s “The Bump,” Edge expressed his gratitude for being able to conclude his wrestling career on his terms. He reminisced about the challenges he overcame, especially after being told by doctors that he’d never wrestle again. For Edge, his triumphant return at the Royal Rumble was a personal victory, with everything that followed being a bonus.

While Edge’s future remains uncertain, there’s no denying his impeccable shape and ability to deliver peak performances. His journey might lead him to AEW, especially given his prior discussions with the company before WWE welcomed him back for another memorable run. Edge seems content with how his career has panned out, leaving fans eager to see what the next chapter holds.
