AEW’s Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. reveals the reasons behind her decision to prioritize wrestling over her dental career

Britt Baker, known to many as Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D., has been a unique figure in the world of professional wrestling. Juggling a career both as a dentist and a wrestler, she’s been an inspiration to many. However, recent shifts in her professional life have seen her lean more towards the squared circle than the dental chair.

In a candid revelation, Baker shared that her decision to step back from dentistry wasn’t easy. “It’s not that I don’t love dentistry,” she began, “but wrestling has always been my first love. The energy, the fans, the adrenaline – it’s something that dentistry, as fulfilling as it is, couldn’t offer.”

She further explained that the demands of being an AEW superstar required her full attention. “AEW has given me a platform to shine, to be the best version of myself. And to do justice to that, I felt the need to give it my all,” Baker added.

With the rigorous schedules of both professions, it became increasingly challenging for Baker to maintain the balance. “There were days I’d be at the dental clinic in the morning and wrestling by night. It was exhausting, both mentally and physically,” she confessed.

However, Baker has yet to close the door on dentistry entirely. She emphasized her passion for the profession and hinted at a potential return in the future. “Dentistry is a part of who I am. I’ve worked hard for my degree, and I cherish it. Who knows, maybe down the line, when the time is right, I might pick up the drill again,” she said with a smile.
