In a Hard-Fought Contest, Jungle Boy Defeats WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam, Marking His First Defense Since Winning the Title
Jungle Boy, adorned in tights that paid homage to Jerry Lynn’s ECW attire, successfully defended his FTW Championship against WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam on this week’s AEW Dynamite. The match marked Van Dam’s AEW debut and was a thrilling contest that saw Jungle Boy emerge victorious.
Van Dam dominated Jungle Boy, even sending the champion through a table and scoring a visual pinfall while the referee was unconscious. However, he was unable to keep Jungle Boy down long enough for a new referee to count the fall. Jungle Boy managed to send Van Dam into the corner where a steel chair was set up, rolling him up for the pinfall. This victory marked Jungle Boy’s first defense since winning the title at AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts.
