Ready for a Solo Challenge: Karl Anderson Expresses Desire for Singles Matches and Hopes for the Right Timing and Story
Karl Anderson, known for his multiple G1 Climax appearances and his partnership with Luke Gallows, is now looking for some singles matches in New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Despite losing to Kazuchika Okada in the finals in 2012, Anderson’s career has been largely tied to Gallows, with the team finding success in various promotions.
In a recent interview with Ryan Satin on “Out of Character,” Anderson was asked about a potential singles run in WWE. He responded, “Yeah, I don’t know why I wasn’t in the Money in the Bank match. I’m down; let’s get this rocking. AJ is the world champion, Gallows can be the heater, and throw me in the ladder match. I’m dying for it. It’s just more about timing and waiting for the right story. I’m pushing for it; I hope for it.”
Anderson is currently aligned with Gallows, AJ Styles, and Michin Mia Yim as the OC on WWE TV. He did compete against Karrion Kross in a singles bout on the July 28 episode of WWE SmackDown.
