The Former UFC Champion’s Second WWE Stint Could Be Drawing to a Close
Ronda Rousey, the former UFC champion who made a triumphant return to WWE during the 2022 Royal Rumble event, may soon be wrapping up her current run with the company. Despite winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice since her comeback, Rousey’s performances have yet to elicit the desired reactions from the fans.
The recent Money in the Bank Premium Live Event saw Shayna Baszler attacking Rousey, leading to Raquel and Morgan seizing the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. The two are now set to face off in an MMA rules match at the WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event.
According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while there’s no official confirmation of Rousey’s departure post-SummerSlam, she is anticipated to part ways with WWE soon. The company had to expedite the turn angle, suggesting Rousey’s exit might be imminent.
As SummerSlam approaches, the question remains whether Shayna Baszler will triumph over Ronda Rousey, potentially marking the end of Rousey’s current WWE tenure.
