Veteran Performer Bobby Roode to Contribute Behind the Scenes at SummerSlam and Beyond
Bobby Roode, a seasoned WWE superstar, has been noticeably absent from the ring for a while. However, he’s set to make a backstage appearance at SummerSlam, not as a competitor but in a new role as a producer. According to PW Insider, Roode is in Detroit, the host city for SummerSlam, to assist in production. This role is expected to extend to Monday Night Raw as well.
Roode last wrestled for WWE in late 2022 and has since undergone several neck surgeries. Despite his physical challenges, retirement isn’t on the cards for Roode. Instead, he’s leveraging his decades of experience in the pro wrestling business to contribute to WWE in a new capacity. While he may not have reached the pinnacle of WWE, Roode had a successful stint in NXT, where he held the title and enjoyed a “glorious” run. His transition to a producer role is seen as a valuable addition to the WWE team.
