Former TBS Champion Jade Cargill May Not Return to AEW After Hiatus
Jade Cargill, the former TBS Champion, has been a prominent figure in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), captivating audiences with her commanding presence. However, after her historic TBS Title reign ended, there are speculations that she might not return to the AEW ring.
Cargill took an extended break from AEW following her loss to Kris Statlander, a move that took many fans by surprise. The question on everyone’s mind now is when, or even if, Cargill will make her return.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Cargill’s situation is unique. Being married to professional baseball player Brandon Phillips, she isn’t in the same position as other wrestlers on the roster. She might not return at all.
“I’ve heard a few things like she might not come back, is what she said, which is the last thing we heard. She wanted to take some time off, so it’s kinda like, you know. Sometimes I feel like, boy, they pushed her and pushed her and pushed her and they never put her in the big matches, and she’s gone.”
Meltzer pointed out that AEW had been pushing Cargill for years, but only gave her the TBS Title. Despite this, Cargill’s long reign as champion allowed her to make the title her own in many ways. AEW seemingly has a storyline ready for her return, but whether she chooses to come back remains uncertain.
As of now, there’s no clear indication from either side about Cargill’s return. However, AEW is known for its surprises, so fans will have to wait and see what unfolds.
