Insomniac Games and Marvel Games Unveil the Darker Side of Spider-Man at San Diego Comic-Con
In an electrifying panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the creative minds and star-studded cast behind the much-anticipated “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” for PlayStation 5 offered fans a behind-the-scenes look into the game’s darker narrative and the monstrous Venom’s role in the sequel.
The panel featured Insomniac Games’ Senior Creative Director Bryan Intihar, Senior Game Director Ryan Smith, Senior Narrative Director Jon Paquette, Senior Art Director Jacinda Chew, and actors Yuri Lowenthal (Peter Parker), Nadji Jeter (Miles Morales), Laura Bailey (Mary Jane Watson), and Tony Todd (Venom). Marvel Games VP & Creative Director Bill Rosemann also joined the discussion.
During the panel, Yuri Lowenthal, the voice of Peter Parker, took a moment to express solidarity with the ongoing strike, stating, “We are here this weekend, but we stand with our brothers and sisters in the WGA. We are here because we are able to be here because we’re under a different contract for games, but that might not last forever.”
“Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” is now available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store, with the official release slated for October 20th, exclusively on PS5.
