Training Intensely, Thunder Rosa Prepares for Her In-Ring Return to AEW
Thunder Rosa, a former AEW Women’s World Champion, has been noticeably absent from the AEW ring since her last six-woman tag team match in October 2022. However, recent developments suggest that her return may be on the horizon.
AEW fans were surprised when Thunder Rosa appeared on AEW Dynamite a few months ago, waiting to see Tony Khan in his office. This cameo was designed to promote Collision, an event where she will participate once she returns to the ring.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Thunder Rosa has been diligently preparing for her in-ring comeback, regularly training with Shoichi Funaki in San Antonio. The report stated, “Thunder Rosa has been back in the ring regularly training with Shoichi Funaki in San Antonio for her return.”
While it’s uncertain when Thunder Rosa will return to AEW television as an in-ring talent, she has recently lent her voice to Spanish commentary. This has allowed fans to enjoy her presence on the alternative language setting.
As we await Thunder Rosa’s return, it’s intriguing to speculate whether she will reclaim her position at the top of the AEW Women’s Division, which is how she left. Jamie Hayter holds the title of AEW Women’s World Champion, but her in-ring status is uncertain due to injury.
