Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, collectively known as the Street Profits, have been grappling with a series of setbacks in their pursuit of the tag team championship. Ford expressed frustration over their repeated failures, especially their loss at last year’s SummerSlam, their last major shot at the tag team championships. “The more you get these opportunities and the more time you don’t succeed, the more natural feeling of being upset and frustrated which leads to a possible character change… the change must happen,” Ford stated.

Dawkins echoed Ford’s sentiments, adding, “It’s getting frustrating a little bit because you keep getting so close to something and it keeps slipping away… I’m sick and tired of waiting and going through all these hoops to get to where the goal is of being the champions. We’re going to start running through mugs in a minute.”

Ford also pointed out the success of wrestlers like Roman Reigns and Austin Theory, who have achieved success through less righteous means. This observation has led him to question whether a similar change in approach might be necessary for the Street Profits.

The duo was seen conversing with Bobby Lashley on the July 14 episode of WWE SmackDown, sparking speculation about a possible alliance or change in direction. However, Dawkins has kept those conversations classified.
