Sony Surprises with Unleaked PS Plus Essential Games: PGA Tour 2K23, Dreams, and Death’s Door
Sony has pulled off a surprise by announcing the next lineup of PS Plus Essential monthly games without any prior leaks. The August 2023’s trio of gaming delights have been unveiled on the PS Blog, and here’s what subscribers can look forward to:
– PGA Tour 2K23 (PS5, PS4)
– Dreams (PS4)
– Death’s Door (PS5, PS4)
Starting Tuesday next week (1st August), these games will be redeemable via your PS Plus subscription and remain available until 5th September. They’ll be playable as long as your subscription is active.
PGA Tour 2K23 is an officially licensed golf sim title from 2K Sports that was released last year. Although it isn’t the latest PGA Tour game, it’s a solid spin on the sport from the team that previously worked on The Golf Club.
Next in line is Dreams, a PS4 exclusive that surprising has yet to be on PS Plus Essential before. This is Media Molecule’s impressive creation game that provides you with powerful tools to create virtually anything you can envision. If creation isn’t your thing, you can play all of the thousands of unique and brilliant things already made by the community and the studio itself. It’s an innovative game that’s long needed more players, making it a perfect fit for Plus.
Lastly, we have Death’s Door, a top-down action game from the creators of Titan Souls. As a crow tasked with retrieving lost souls, you venture out into the world of the living, facing surprisingly tricky combat, clever environmental puzzles, and memorable boss battles. With a great aesthetic and rock-solid gameplay, it’s well worth playing if you’re into your Zelda-likes or, dare we say, Souls-likes.
