WWE’s Grand Spectacle WrestleMania 41 Could Be Heading to Minneapolis, U.S. Bank Stadium Touted as the Likely Venue
WrestleMania, WWE’s dazzling display of wrestling prowess and showmanship, has consistently been a big win for the cities it graces. The commercial allure of the event is undeniable, and the wrestling giant is well-aware of its immense value. The hunt for the 41st WrestleMania’s host city is narrowing.
Contrary to popular anticipation fueled by WWE superstar John Cena’s push for London, WrestleMania 41 is reportedly not heading across the pond. As of now, the focus remains on an exciting new destination within U.S. borders.
Behind Fightful’s paywall, Sean Sapp hinted at an unprecedented location for the event: Minneapolis. With a state-of-the-art stadium standing ready, Minneapolis is looking to be the center of WWE’s wrestling universe for the iconic show.
Fightful Select shared, “Minneapolis has been heavily discussed within the company as a possible and even likely location for WrestleMania 41 in 2025. Minneapolis city planners had actually leaked this news to local media, but when Fightful asked WWE officials months ago, they confirmed that Minneapolis was one of several cities that had interest. There were reps on behalf of the city who were at Sofi Stadium for WrestleMania 39.”
According to insiders, the U.S. Bank Stadium, capable of seating over 73,000 spectators, would be the chosen location, given potential hindrances like weather and baseball season which could obstruct usage of Target Field. “WWE views the U.S. Bank Stadium as a world-class venue, and we’ve heard that they’re pushing for more non-Vikings related events in the huge stadium,” Fightful added.
Wrestling fans will remember an earlier situation when premature information leaks by city officials cost them a chance to host WrestleMania. Hopefully, Minneapolis has learned from these past mistakes.
Meanwhile, WWE is also looking for the perfect stage for the Royal Rumble. “Tampa was being considered for the Royal Rumble, but talent we’ve spoken to have said that as of last week when they asked where it would be at, they were told that information couldn’t be provided as of yet. Those we’ve spoken to say that Tampa has been a front runner for quite some time,” reported PWInsider this week.
Regardless of where these spectacular events finally land, we hope for nothing less than an electrifying show.
