WWE Files Trademarks for New Ring Names with USPTO
WWE has recently made moves to secure trademarks for several new ring names, according to PWInsider. The applications were filed with the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) and include the following names: Tyson Dupont, Tyriek Igwe, Trey Bearhill, Izzi Dame, and Kiyah Saint.
The trademarks were filed under a variety of goods and services descriptions, specifically related to wrestling exhibitions and performances, broadcasting on television and radio, online streaming services, wrestling news and information, and fan club events. The filings also encompass the provision of sports and entertainment information through online platforms and the organization of social entertainment events for wrestling fan club members.
These trademark filings indicate WWE’s intention to introduce new talent or rebrand existing talent under these ring names. Fans will have to stay tuned for further announcements regarding the use of these trademarks and the wrestlers who will be associated with them.
