18-year-old accused of leaking GTA 6 content deemed unfit for trial, faces a jury decision on his actions
The accused perpetrator of one of the biggest leaks in gaming history, Arion Kurtaj, has been deemed unfit to stand trial by psychiatrists. The 18-year-old is accused of leaking work-in-progress videos and screenshots of the highly anticipated game, GTA 6.
The leak, which sent shockwaves through the gaming community, is just one of the charges Kurtaj faces. He is also accused of hacking into systems of companies including Uber, Nvidia, and financial tech firm Revolut. Additionally, he allegedly blackmailed mobile networks BT and EE. In total, Kurtaj faces 12 charges, including three counts of blackmail, two counts of fraud, and six charges under the Computer Misuse Act.
With Kurtaj deemed unfit for trial, a jury will now determine whether he committed the acts, rather than delivering a traditional guilty or not guilty verdict. Meanwhile, an unnamed 17-year-old accomplice also faces multiple charges related to the case.
