Steve Austin Takes on the Challenge of Extreme Rock Crawling in Nevada
In a recent episode of “Stone Cold Takes on America” on A&E, WWE legend Steve Austin, also known as “Stone Cold,” took on the thrilling challenge of extreme rock crawling in Nevada’s Logandale Trails. The video captures Austin’s adventurous spirit and determination as he navigates the rocky terrain.
The episode begins with Austin meeting Mary, an experienced rock crawler, who guides him through the challenging course. “I’m looking forward to riding with Mary because she gave me the invite out here. I hope that she can trust me because we’re gonna be doing some pretty treacherous things, although fun, and I don’t wanna crash her Jeep. But it could happen,” Austin says.
The first obstacle they encounter is a trail rated three out of ten in difficulty. Austin successfully navigates it, but the real challenge lies ahead – the Gatekeeper, a trail rated eight out of ten. The Gatekeeper is a steep climb with rocks far apart, making it hard to keep all four wheels on the ground.
With the guidance of a spotter, Austin attempts the Gatekeeper. Despite some initial difficulties and the Jeep sliding sideways, Austin perseveres. “The drive so far has been very nerve-racking. I’m trying not to wreck Mary’s Jeep. The way that Jeep has set down on the right side, things aren’t going well,” he admits.
As the light fades, other Jeeps reposition their headlights to illuminate the course. After a tense and rocky journey, Austin finally conquers the Gatekeeper. The video ends with Austin expressing his gratitude and excitement, “Man, you talk about awesome. Great job by Cam and everybody here. I don’t know what to say. I’m about to start crying. That was fun.”
