Former NXT Champions, the Creed Brothers, Poised to Leave NXT Following ‘Losers Leave’ Match
WWE’s NXT brand is set to undergo some significant changes, with the trend of promoting main roster talent from the developmental territory continuing. The NXT Tag Team division, in particular, is bracing for a major shakeup.
Rumors are rife that a former NXT Tag Team Championship duo, the Creed Brothers, are on the brink of a promotion to the WWE main roster. While this move could boost the NXT brand’s exposure on the main roster, it also means NXT would lose two of its biggest Superstars.
WWE recently taped next week’s NXT at the WWE Performance Center, likely to give talent and staff a break during the Fourth of July holiday week. During this taping, significant news emerged that could be considered spoilers for those wishing to avoid them.
On the latest show, it was announced that a “Losers Leave NXT” tag team match between the Dyad and the Creed Brothers is scheduled for next week. Given that the Dyad’s contracts are set to expire in a few months, many speculated that this match would be WWE’s way of writing them off television.
Earlier this year, the Dyad had requested their release from WWE, and when it wasn’t granted, they announced on Twitter that they would become free agents in mid-October.
However, in a surprising turn of events, the Dyad secured a victory over the Creed Brothers, resulting in Julius and Brutus Creed being the ones leaving NXT. Unless there are unexpected changes, the Creed Brothers will transition from NXT to Raw or SmackDown.
While the situation is still unfolding, the Creed Brothers, who have been ready for the main roster for some time, might finally be making their move, despite not being called up during the 2023 WWE Draft.
