Bischoff Highlights the Successes and Potential Pitfalls of AEW’s Recent Show
Eric Bischoff, a seasoned wrestling commentator, recently shared his thoughts on the AEW Collision. He praised the show’s production quality, particularly the set and lighting, and expressed hope that this high standard would be maintained in future productions.
“This show was so good that if they can keep that same set, keep that same lighting package, don’t give me less than next week or next month or six months from now. The minute you give me less than, I’m going to start losing interest,” Bischoff said.
However, he also pointed out the potential downside of AEW’s success. He noted the stark differences between Collision and Dynamite, suggesting that AEW is competing with itself. “The difference between Collision in its overall presentation to Dynamite is night and day creatively from a television production point of view,” he observed.
Bischoff also speculated about the recent hires and acquisitions, mentioning rumors about Chris Hero’s presence at the show and the addition of Will Washington and Jimmy Jacobs to the team. He suggested that these new additions might have contributed to the show’s success.
“Perhaps our man TK just needed some more help,” Bischoff mused, referring to Tony Khan, the president of AEW. “Whatever that combination, that collaboration was, stick with it. Learn to give them more rope because somebody took control of this and made it work.”
