AEW Star Set to Step Away from AEW Television for a Period
In a surprising turn of events, Jeff Hardy, who recently made his return to AEW television, is now poised to embark on another hiatus. Following The Hardys’ match against The Gunns on AEW Dynamite, the former WWE Champion is set to take some time off from the promotion.
According to Sean Sapp of Fightful, AEW fans won’t be seeing Jeff Hardy for a while after the latest episode of Dynamite. Sources indicate that Hardy is expected to take a well-deserved hiatus, allowing him to recharge and rejuvenate.
As reported, “Jeff Hardy won’t be on All Elite Wrestling TV for a while, again.” While Hardy has been gradually finding his rhythm in the ring after the longest in-ring absence of his career, he won’t be performing on AEW TV during the upcoming Canadian tour. Fightful Select revealed that Hardy’s inability to enter Canada due to past legal issues resulted in his temporary written-off from television.
During The Hardys’ match against The Gunns, they suffered a defeat and were subsequently attacked by Bullet Club Gold. The altercation set the stage for future matches involving CM Punk, FTR, and Ricky Starks.
The report also mentioned that Hardy had competed in a few televised matches upon his return and had been part of the AEW House Rules tour. However, with AEW’s upcoming eight-date Canadian tour, Hardy’s unavailability for entry poses a logistical challenge. While there is a possibility of pre-taped segments involving Jeff Hardy, it appears that he will be taking a well-deserved break at this juncture.
