WWE’s Global Scouting Includes New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Tag Teams
WWE’s talent scouting efforts are truly global, and they have set their sights on New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). Reports suggest that WWE is interested in signing a tag team from NJPW, adding to their history of successful acquisitions from the Japanese promotion.
According to a tweet from BWE, WWE is contemplating signing an NJPW tag team and pairing them with talent from the WWE Performance Center. The tweet, however, did not reveal any specific names.
“I dont know if i tweeted this back. But there have been ongoing talks of signing a certain tag team from NJPW. And promoting one of the PCenter kids to join a certain group. Cant tell much. But whoever figures out you deserve a 10$ TGI’s promo card,” BWE tweeted.
While it remains to be seen which tag team WWE might sign, several promising duos in NJPW could be a great fit. The potential move has certainly piqued our interest.
In related news, NJPW is preparing for another ‘Forbidden Door’ event with AEW on June 25th, adding another exciting development to the world of professional wrestling.
