In a recent episode of A&E’s “Stone Cold Takes on America,” WWE legend ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin takes a break from the ring to marvel at the wonders of the universe. During a quiet night in the middle of nowhere, Austin, also known as The Bionic Redneck, takes in the breathtaking view of Saturn, the Andromeda Galaxy, and other celestial bodies.
“One thing the show has given me is the ability to slow down and take in the sights and experiences that I never had the chance to when I was in the WWE living on the road,” Austin shared. He humorously added, “Jim, if you’d told me ten years ago I was going to get a job being a stargazing attendant, I’d have said you was crazy but here we are.”
The episode features Austin inviting others to take a look through the telescope, exclaiming, “Anybody want to see Saturn?” and expressing his awe at the sight of the planet’s rings. He also gets a chance to view the Andromeda Galaxy, the Ring Nebula, and Jupiter, learning about the different densities of the planet’s methane clouds.
The episode offers a unique and entertaining look at Austin’s life outside the ring, showcasing his curiosity and appreciation for the universe’s wonders.
