Rating News on the May 15th WWE Monday Night RAW

Published on

Raw’s viewership on the latest episode averaged 1.72 million viewers and drew a 0.58 rating in the key 18-49 demographic.

The show followed a pattern seen in previous years as the first hour had lower viewership, the second hour experienced a significant increase, and the third hour saw a decline. Notably, there was a substantial increase in viewers aged 18-34, with a rating of 0.41.

This 18-34 demographic surge demonstrates WWE’s popularity among younger viewers. While there was less competition compared to recent weeks, the NHL playoffs game between Seattle and Dallas on ESPN garnered considerable viewership with 2.75 million viewers and a 0.97 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Raw ranked second in the 18-49 demographic, trailing behind the NHL game, and placed second in all key demographics. In terms of total viewers, it ranked seventh, only surpassed by the NHL game and five news shows. Raw outperformed network TV in the 18-49 demographic, with the exception of Jeopardy! Masters on ABC. Furthermore, Raw’s 0.62 rating in the first hour on cable surpassed Jeopardy! Masters’ 0.66, considering the difference in household reach.

Raw experienced a four percent decrease in viewership compared to the previous week. However, it saw an 11 percent increase in the 18-49 demographic and a notable 14 percent increase in the 18-34 demographic. It’s worth noting that last week’s episode was a stronger marquee episode but faced tougher competition due to the NBA playoffs.

When compared to the same time last year, Raw’s viewership declined by one percent, but there was a significant 29 percent increase in the 18-49 demographic and a 37 percent increase in the 18-34 demographic. These figures don’t account for the fact that USA Network is available in fewer households than a year ago.

Examining the changes from the first to the third hour, viewership among women aged 18-49 decreased by eight percent, while men aged 18-49 increased by three percent. Additionally, viewership among women aged 12-34 decreased by 20 percent, and among men aged 12-34, it decreased by 11 percent.

Hourly breakdown of viewership:
– 8 p.m.: 1.69 million viewers
– 9 p.m.: 1.82 million viewers
– 10 p.m.: 1.63 million viewers

Here are some additional details about the viewership numbers:

– Raw’s viewership averaged 1.72 million viewers and drew a 0.58 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
– The show followed a typical pattern with lower viewership in the first hour, a significant increase in the second hour, and a decline in the third hour.
– Raw ranked second in the 18-49 demographic, trailing behind an NHL playoffs game, and second in all key demographics.
– Compared to the previous week, Raw saw a four percent decrease in viewership but had an 11 percent increase in the 18-49 demographic and a 14 percent increase in the 18-34 demographic.
