Puerto Rico native and recording artist Bad Bunny recently achieved his dream of wrestling in his homeland. Following his victory over Damian Priest at Backlash, Bad Bunny took to his Instagram Stories to express his gratitude for the unforgettable experience.
Bad Bunny wrote that he’s still processing the moment and that there are no words to describe what he felt. He called the event “a dream” and thanked the enthusiastic crowd in San Juan, who he believes were the stars of the show. He went on to hail the Puerto Rican fans as the best wrestling fans in the world, declaring that there is no energy like the one they provided.
This was Bad Bunny’s third time wrestling in a WWE ring, with his San Juan street fight against Priest featuring cameos by Carlito and Savio Vega, who helped the LWO fend off interference by the Judgment Day. Backlash marked the first time a WWE pay-per-view has been held in Puerto Rico since 2005, making the event even more special.
Bad Bunny’s match at Backlash came less than a month after he made history as the first Latino artist to headline the Coachella music festival. The Puerto Rican superstar is making waves in both the music and wrestling worlds, and his latest appearance at Backlash proved that he is a force to be reckoned with.
