PW Insider has reported that Brock Lesnar is not expected to appear on WWE Raw this week. While there is always a possibility of a surprise appearance from The Beast Incarnate, it seems that he won’t be a part of the show as of now.

The report also noted that Lesnar suffered a real injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at Backlash, where he split his head open with an exposed turnbuckle, resulting in a bloody finish.

Despite the planned blood in the match, PWInsiderElite.com has been told by multiple sources not to expect any heavy use of blood to return to WWE programming.

In addition, Ringside News reported that WWE creative has not been informed whether the company’s recent merger with the UFC will change its policy on blood during matches.

While Lesnar’s status for Raw remains uncertain, it appears that Cody Rhodes will be competing in the World Heavyweight Title tournament this week without having to worry about Lesnar’s interference.
