During the 2023 WWE Draft, numerous wrestlers switched brands resulting in significant changes to the rosters. Additionally, the draft’s outcome could potentially pave the way for the reunion of a well-liked stable from NXT on the main roster.
The RAW brand acquired Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Dexter Lumis from NXT. All four of these wrestlers were part of the popular faction, The Way, in NXT, and their shenanigans had endeared them to a large fanbase.
WRKD Wrestling has reported that The Way might be poised to make a comeback on WWE television, but this time, they could be taking the RAW brand by storm, as they are no longer affiliated with NXT.
“There are preliminary plans to reunite #WWENXT’s faction “The Way” in the future on the #WWERaw brand.”
It appears that a full reunion of The Way won’t be possible since Austin Theory is on SmackDown, and his recent heel persona has taken a different direction from his previous comedic character with The Way. However, since Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae are married, it is likely that the company will have to put them on the same brand anyway. Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis are also married, but only in storyline, and it remains to be seen whether that storyline will continue on the main roster.
