Amidst a roster full of aspiring wrestlers eager to make a name for themselves in the pro wrestling industry, AEW has seen its fair share of injuries. However, there is some positive news about Rey Fenix’s recovery.
Previously, we reported that the high-flying luchador had been out of action since Battle of the Belts IV on April 7th, reportedly nursing some injuries. But in a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared that Fenix has already made his return to the ring. The Mexican wrestler was a part of a show at his store in Pasadena, California, where he faced off against Mike Bailey.
According to Meltzer, Fenix is set to appear in an upcoming battle royale on Dynamite and compete in AAW in Chicago, showcasing his readiness to dive back into the action.
Rey Fenix’s recent impressive showings against The Elite suggest that he has the potential to capture a title reign in AEW in the near future. While it’s unclear how Tony Khan and the AEW team will utilize him, fans are eagerly anticipating Fenix’s return to the ring after his injury hiatus.
Fortunately, Fenix’s injury didn’t sideline him for an extended period, and he’s back to doing what he does best – captivating audiences with his high-flying maneuvers and in-ring acrobatics.
