Madcap Moss, formerly known as Riddick Moss during his tenure in NXT, has recently undergone a name change back to his old moniker. Despite being called to the main roster, Moss achieved little success under his original name. However, WWE’s head of creative, Triple H, is on a mission to make changes, as several WWE Superstars have seen their old names and gimmicks reinstated.
Moss joins the likes of Matt Riddle, Tommaso Ciampa, and Austin Theory in receiving their first names back, while Piper Niven and Nikki Cross have reverted to their old gimmicks. On a recent episode of Smackdown, Karrion Kross referred to Moss as ‘Riddick Moss’ while building his feud with Shinsuke Nakamura. This was not an accident, as WWE’s official roster page has updated Moss’ name back to Riddick Moss.
On the April 14 edition of Friday Night Smackdown, Riddick Moss made his most recent appearance and faced a returning Shinsuke Nakamura, but unfortunately suffered a defeat. It is uncertain how WWE will choose to utilize Moss under his new-old moniker in the upcoming months.
