Stone Cold Steve Austin Endorses L.A. Knight as a Top Contender

After a strong debut at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day on February 14th, 2021, LA Knight had a rocky start on the main roster that left fans worried about his future. However, he has since returned to his old gimmick and has been impressing fans with his skills once again. And it seems that even Stone Cold Steve Austin has taken notice of Knight’s talent and potential in WWE.

Known as one of the best promo workers in the company, LA Knight has been winning over fans with his performances every week. Despite mediocre angles being presented to him, he has managed to keep himself relevant and continue his upward trajectory.

During an interview with WrestleRant, Steve Austin shared his thoughts on LA Knight’s potential within WWE and conveyed his confidence in Knight’s ability to ascend to the next level in the organization.

“I said ‘hey man, make sure your cardio is supreme’ and I said ‘just go do you’,” Austin said. “So that guy can talk a blue streak. He’s a great worker. He’s got a good look, good energy. So I think he’s doing great. I think he can ascend to a higher level, and I think he will. So I think the guy’s doing awesome.”

LA Knight has voiced his aspiration to claim the WWE Universal Championship and has previously drawn comparisons to Stone Cold Steve Austin. While it remains to be seen if Knight will emerge as the primary figure on Friday Night Smackdown, Steve Austin’s endorsement undoubtedly bodes well for his future prospects in WWE.
