AEW Dynamite never fails to surprise its audience; this week was no exception. Fans witnessed the return of not only Jeff Hardy but also Nick Jackson.
The Blackpool Combat Club has been causing trouble in AEW, and this week, they brutally attacked The Elite’s associates, Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler. It was a bloody scene, but things could have been much worse.
After the referee called for the bell, Jon Moxley grabbed the microphone and called out Kenny Omega for not being present. Suddenly, Omega’s music hit, and he made his entrance to a thunderous reception.
Just as Moxley was focused on Omega, The Young Bucks made a surprise appearance and delivered a double superkick to him. This was a shocker, considering Matt Jackson had recently suffered a torn bicep but chose not to have surgery and is still expected to compete.
Nick Jackson’s injury was a part of the storyline, and his absence was merely an excuse to write him off television for a week. Despite the injury setbacks, The Elite continues to make an impact on AEW Dynamite.
