Chad Gable, the former Olympian and mentor to Otis, has been on a mission to further his protégé’s athletic prowess through the Alpha Academy. However, Otis’s recent brush with temptation from Maxine Dupree and the Maximum Male Models (ma.çé and mån.sôör) has added a new dimension to their storyline, as the duo tries to unlock Otis’s modeling and star potential.
Speaking on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character show, Gable and Otis discussed their current storyline with the Maximum Male Models and the potential they see in it. Otis acknowledged the challenge of wearing jewelry and getting into character, but he also expressed excitement about the opportunity. “We get in the car, we drive to the airport, we start talking about what we might be doing this week, it starts getting giddy, and we finally get to do it,” he said.
Gable commended the Male Models for their dedication to their characters and their commitment to entertaining the audience. “They could have done the same thing and walked around with a boo boo face, ‘this sucks,’ but they are so committed to it in a way that is so endearing,” he said. “People, the more they get of them, the more they are going to start to love to hate them in the best possible way.”
Otis also spoke highly of the Male Models, particularly Mansoor’s talent and Mace’s flexibility. “They all have the best and positive attitudes. That’s what you need, especially in this industry,” he said.
Gable was particularly impressed with Maxine’s performance and her ability to make herself a spectacle. “When you combine the three of them, all their personalities, you’ll see little glimpses of the stuff we’ve done with them. Our playing off each other is clicking more than I expected it to,” he said. “We have a lot of ideas we’ve thrown out, some pretty wild ones, that I hope they run with going forward. I hope this isn’t one of those flash in the pan things that is going to be over with in the next couple weeks. If I had it my way, this Male Model stuff is going to last all summer.”
Despite their involvement in the Male Models storyline, Otis and Gable have not lost sight of their primary objective, which is to improve Otis’s in-ring performance. The duo teamed up at WrestleMania 39 to compete in the four-way tag team showcase bout, but ultimately fell short to the Street Profits.
