AEW has announced its first-ever event outside of North America, and it’s set to take place at London’s Wembley Stadium. The event, dubbed AEW All In, is scheduled for Sunday, August 27th, and is expected to be one of the “biggest shows in the history of the company,” according to AEW head Tony Khan.
During the announcement, which was made in a pre-taped segment featuring Nigel McGuinness and Adam Cole, Khan talked about how the original All In event, which took place five years ago, was the biggest indie event of all time put on by “four pioneers” in Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks, and Cody Rhodes.
While it’s unclear if AEW All In will be a pay-per-view event, as it was not specifically announced as such, the timing of the event is noteworthy. Traditionally, AEW holds its All Out pay-per-view on the following weekend, which falls on Labor Day in the United States.
For wrestling fans, Wembley Stadium holds a special place in history as the site of the 1992 WWE SummerSlam, which was the company’s first-ever UK stadium show at the time.
As AEW continues to expand its global presence, the announcement of AEW All In at Wembley Stadium is a significant milestone for the company and its fans.
