According to recent reports, the deal between Vince McMahon and UFC’s parent company, Endeavor, to sell WWE is all but finalized, with an official announcement expected soon. While fans may be speculating about the implications of the sale, it seems that McMahon himself is comfortable with the deal, thanks in part to the fact that he will retain his position on the company’s Board of Directors.
As one source explained to Brad Shepherd, the sale to Endeavor would allow McMahon to maintain his status as the “heart and soul” of WWE, much as Dana White remained the face and leader of UFC after Endeavor’s acquisition of the company. Nick Khan is also expected to remain as President of the company’s wrestling side, while Ari Emanuel and Mark Shapiro could potentially get involved as well.
However, the future of Triple H’s role in the company is less clear, and it remains to be seen how the new ownership structure will impact WWE’s leadership and direction moving forward. Nonetheless, with McMahon’s support of the sale to Endeavor, it seems likely that WWE is poised for some major changes in the near future.
