Meltzer stated that Tony Khan, AEW’s CEO and President, wanted to have CM Punk back in the company and that a reconciliation agreement had been reached. This agreement’s details are unknown, but Meltzer mentioned that Punk’s Instagram comments from last week might have affected the situation. The Instagram post saw Punk going off on Tony Khan, Jon Moxley, Meltzer, and Chris Jericho. Although the post was removed, it caused some controversy.

Amid the uncertainty surrounding CM Punk’s potential return to AEW, Dave Meltzer has suggested that AEW’s reported interest in booking the United Center in Chicago for All Out this year may be related to Punk’s planned return. However, the current status of the situation remains uncertain, with Meltzer stating that there are “tons of complicated issues involved and differences of opinions on the subject.”
