WWE Backlash Event in Puerto Rico Sold Out Completely

Published on

As WWE rapidly approaches their biggest show of the year, WrestleMania 39, set to take place in only a few days in Hollywood, the company has already announced its plans for the next premium live event after the showcase of the Immortals. Recent ticket sales numbers indicate that the event may have already been sold out, much to the excitement of WWE fans.

The company announced that WWE Backlash will take place in San Juan, Puerto Rico on May 6th after the WrestleMania pay-per-view. This will mark the first time in many years that WWE will be hosting a show in Puerto Rico, and it has caused a lot of buzz among fans on the island.

Adding to the excitement, hometown celebrity Bad Bunny was announced as the host of WWE Backlash. Due to the overwhelming response for pre-sale tickets, WWE made the decision to treat its Puerto Rican fans by scheduling the final SmackDown at the same location as Backlash.

The response to the announcement of WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico has been enormous, with recent ticket sales numbers indicating massive success for the event. Tickets for WWE Backlash have not been available for many days now, hinting at a sell-out show by WrestleTix. However, the site did list that some tickets for the SmackDown show might still be available.

A post on WrestleTix reads, “WWE Backlash in San Juan, PR looks to have sold out as there haven’t been any single or multiple tickets available for this event for many days now. The screenshot below represents a few seats available for the Smackdown map (same map used for Backlash). It’s unclear if every section is being used on this map – a reader noted to me that he saw seats being sold behind the stage would be which implies they will have a smaller stage to utilize more of the arena. I will wait until I find out more before posting an estimate, but if they used every section, this map has 18,081 seats.”

It’s worth noting that nothing definitive is up on Stubhub yet for this event, and the page for this event on Stubhub says that the map isn’t complete. SmackDown still has seats left, but unfortunately, you can only see the seats available by selecting a quantity of best available, so there is no way to tell how many are left yet. It’s possible that more information about available seats will be released as the event approaches.

For Puerto Rican fans who haven’t been actively engaged by WWE lately, this will be a massive event in their hometown with their own Bad Bunny as the host. WWE Backlash will take place at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot on May 6th, 2023, and it is sure to be a night to remember.
