In the world of AEW, the show must go on despite setbacks, such as injuries. Unfortunately, one of the promotion’s key members, Matt Jackson, is currently out of action due to a biceps injury during his match in Winnipeg, Canada. Although surgery is optional, it is uncertain whether Jackson will need it.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez confirmed that the injury was a partially torn biceps that happened early in the match, but Jackson continued to work through it. Dave Meltzer added that Jackson decided against surgery to avoid a prolonged recovery period of seven months.
AEW ran an ambulance angle on their latest Dynamite episode to cover for Jackson’s absence. Losing a significant member of their roster is the last thing the promotion needs right now, but we can only hope that Matt Jackson’s recovery is swift and that he returns to the ring soon.
