Jon Moxley Claims AEW Has the Most Drama He Has Ever Experienced in His Career

Published on

Professional wrestler Jon Moxley has been a major force in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) since his debut at Double or Nothing in 2019. Over the years, he has become a mainstay of AEW and has been involved in some of the promotion’s most high-profile storylines. However, Moxley has grown tired of the drama that is prevalent in AEW.

In his recent appearance on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Jon Moxley spoke candidly about the backstage drama and controversies that have affected AEW. He specifically addressed the CM Punk controversy and other examples of tension and conflict among members of the roster. It’s clear that Moxley has taken note of the drama that has unfolded in recent times and he did not shy away from discussing it.

During his appearance on The Sessions with Renee Paquette, Moxley initially clarified that he had never expressed any negative thoughts about AEW. Nevertheless, as someone who has been part of the company, he couldn’t help but notice the substantial amount of drama that seems to be occurring backstage.

Drawing on his extensive experience in the wrestling industry, including eight years on the independent circuit, a couple of years in WWE developmental, and eight years in WWE, Moxley claimed that he had never seen so much “bullshit drama in one place” in his entire life.

Moxley went on to say that while the vast majority of people in AEW are just trying to do their jobs and get better, they are getting sucked down into the drama like everyone else. He believes that this is a problem and that it is taking away from the great work that AEW is doing.

“I don’t know if it’s because the age of social media and stuff gets blown out of proportion, like one person posts one stupid fucking drunk tweet and all of a sudden it’s all anybody wants to talk about,” said Moxley. “We’re sitting up here, doing a podcast. You know what we’re not talking about? We’re not talking about the fucking stellar match Vikingo and Kenny Omega just had. Or all the cool stuff going on in AEW, cool shows happening, we’re not talking about this great pay-per-view we just had. We’re not talking about any of that, we’re talking about some bullshit.”

Moxley’s comments are sure to spark a discussion among fans and pro wrestlers alike. While drama is nothing new in the wrestling industry, it seems that AEW has been dealing with more than its fair share in recent times. Whether this will have any impact on the company’s future remains to be seen, but it is clear that Moxley believes that the focus should be on the wrestling itself and not the drama surrounding it.
