In a concerning turn of events, Roxanne Perez fainted after her NXT Women’s Championship match against Meiko Satomura at NXT Roadblock, and unfortunately, the news on her in-ring future doesn’t seem to be any better.
Despite spending the night in a local medical facility, with a doctor providing an update on her condition the week after the incident stating she would return to training just one day after the event, Perez took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support and reveal that doctors have yet to determine her in-ring return date.
This contradicts Dave Meltzer’s earlier report that the NXT star had been cleared to compete after the fainting angle. It’s a disappointing setback for one of the most talented performers on the NXT roster, and her fans are undoubtedly hoping for her speedy recovery.
With Shawn Michaels suggesting the possibility of a new NXT Women’s Champion being crowned at Stand & Deliver, it remains to be seen whether Roxanne Perez will be back in time for the event. Only time will tell, but one thing is sure – her fans will eagerly anticipate her return to the ring.
I can't thank the @WWENXT Universe enough for all the thoughts and prayers over the past two weeks. The outpouring of support fills my heart. I wish I had better news, but the doctors are saying we're no closer to finding out what happened to me at RoadBlock.
