After recently returning from a hiatus, Carmella is getting back into the swing of things in the WWE. However, she was recently substituted after failing to appear at WWE house shows, leaving her future in the company uncertain. It remains to be seen how long she will be out of action, but WWE had plans for her to continue in her current direction.
On a more positive note, Chelsea Green’s new Karen gimmick has opened the doors for new possibilities on WWE television. Carmella seems to complement the character in a big way, and hopefully, we will see more of the two of them in the future as they continue to cause trouble for authority figure Adam Pearce. As a sports writer, it’s exciting to see fresh storylines and characters introduced to the WWE universe, and the potential for the Carmella-Karen partnership could provide some compelling television in the future.
Carmella was off this weekend’s house shows as well. The plan had been to continue with she and Chelsea Green, but the decision was made over the weekend to replace her with Piper Niven. Nobody we spoke to had an update.
