Wrestling legend, The Undertaker has officially retired his iconic “Deadman” persona. Having left his hat and coat in the ring when he retired, The Undertaker has revealed that his old-school mentality prevents him from returning to the character. He explained his decision during a recent conversation with Ariel Helwani for BT Sport.
When asked about not bringing back the “Old School Taker” character, he said that he feels it’s a thing of the past, adding that he won’t be bringing the hat and coat back out. According to him, when he transformed into the American Badass earlier in his career, it was because of a significant event. The same thing happened when he went away again.
The Undertaker said that although the “Deadman” character will live on forever in people’s memories, he doesn’t think he can bring it back after his retirement and all the shows he has done, including The Last Ride and the A&E Biography. He also noted that people now know he can talk and have thoughts beyond the character’s famous catchphrases.
With this announcement, fans of the wrestling legend can only hold on to the memories of The Undertaker’s iconic “Deadman” character, which has undoubtedly left a lasting impression on the WWE and wrestling fans worldwide.
