Mercedes Martinez, also known as Mercedes Mone, is a highly regarded professional wrestler who has made a name for herself in multiple promotions, including WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling. During a recent Q&A session at Planet Comicon in Kansas City, Martinez shared her thoughts on various topics, including her departure from WWE, future plans, and wrestling aspirations.

When asked about her departure from WWE, Martinez made it clear that she wouldn’t be sharing any details, saying “nobody knows the story because I haven’t said anything and I’m not going to say anything because that’s just the classy boss that I am, the CEO.” Despite this, she spoke positively about her time in WWE, stating that she had been with the company for almost 10 years and that it had been an important part of her career.

Martinez also discussed her decision to leave WWE and pursue her dream of wrestling in Japan. “You have to follow your heart and follow your soul and follow your dreams and this was always, always, always a dream of mine that I never got to accomplish,” she said. “So, as I’m growing in my career, I’ve like been in the WWE for almost 10 years. I had to have a change, I had to feel something different in my heart and soul so I had to go after a whole new dream and a whole new chapter and a whole new destiny for me. And this is where I want to be and this is what I want to make happen for me.”

Martinez also spoke about her future plans, including the possibility of appearing on WWE Raw or AEW Dynamite this week. She also expressed her desire to wrestle Mickie James in 2023, describing James as one of her idols and jokingly saying she’d like to “retire her a**.”

When asked about wrestlers she’d like to face in WWE, Martinez mentioned Zoey Stark, Bayley, and Natalya, stating that she’d like an Iron Woman match with Natalya. She also spoke about being related to Snoop Dogg, saying she’s proud of her family’s entertainment legacy.

Overall, Martinez’s Q&A provided some insight into her career and aspirations and her decision to leave WWE. Despite not sharing details about her departure, she spoke positively about her time with the company and emphasized the importance of following one’s dreams and passions.
