Big E’s neck was broken in March 2023 following a failed release German suplex from Ridge Holland, which cost him a year’s worth of time in the ring. However, WWE may have plans for his comeback.
Ridge Holland revealed that he had received death threats since Big E’s injury, particularly on the one-year anniversary of the tragic event. Xavier Woods spoke out in defense of Holland.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE was making arrangements for the New Day’s involvement in WrestleMania. While they could still appear at the event, Kofi Kingston’s recent injury may hamper those plans.
Although Big E is doing much better, he has yet to return to the ring. He is, however, traveling more and participating in WWE’s NIL program, working at tryouts. We hope to see him back in the squared circle soon.
Given that two-thirds of the presumed WWE Hall of Fame stable are currently out of action due to injury, whether WWE will follow through with their plans for the New Day at WrestleMania remains to be seen. This limitation may restrict what they can accomplish.
