As a gamer, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that former WWE superstar Tyler Breeze has been added to the WWE 2K23 roster. During the UpUpDownDown live WWE 2K23 Ratings Reveal stream, it was revealed that Breeze will be included in the game as a WWE Legend, with a rating of 77. This marks Breeze’s first appearance in a WWE game as a legend since his contract with the company as a performer ended in 2021.
In addition to being a playable character, Breeze will also debut as a General Manager in WWE 2K23’s MyGM Mode, returning this year after receiving positive feedback from fans last year. Breeze will be a selectable GM alongside his long-time WWE 2K Battle of the Brands rival, Xavier Woods. The two have been competing in GM Mode in WWE games for years, with their latest video series covering WWE 2K22’s version of the game mode.
Breeze’s inclusion in the WWE 2K23 roster brings the total number of revealed playable wrestlers to 200, which is close to last year’s 222, including alternate versions of wrestlers. With DLC wrestlers still to be announced, the WWE 2K23 roster may surpass last year’s, much to the delight of fans. However, several wrestlers still have yet to be included in this year’s roster, which fans hope will be addressed in upcoming DLC reveals.
