A GameStop in Sugarcreek Township was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday evening. The employees of the Wilmington Pike location reported the incident to 911, as confirmed by Sugarcreek Police records.
In 911 recordings obtained by News Center 7 through a public records request, an employee described the suspect as displaying a gun inside the store and making off with a PlayStation 5 gaming console and cash from the register. The caller also informed the police that the suspect fled the store on foot.
In addition to the PS5 and cash, the suspect took various items from inside the store, totaling more than $1,000 worth of stolen goods, according to police records.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. The authorities are urging anyone with any information regarding the robbery to contact the police.
