The WWE Performance Center has served as a breeding ground for future Superstars, and many have succeeded in the industry. Some have even returned to NXT for a second stint, and another familiar face may be making their way back to the developmental brand.
Wes Lee, the reigning NXT North American Champion, has been on a tear lately and recently issued an open challenge to any challengers willing to step up to the plate. And Cedric Alexander, a former member of the Hurt Business faction, has accepted that challenge.
Alexander took to Twitter to let Lee know he’s heard about the challenge and knew precisely where the Performance Center was. While Alexander has been relatively quiet since the dissolution of the Hurt Business, returning to NXT could allow him to regain momentum and earn a big pop from the crowd.
What the future holds for Alexander remains to be seen, and a potential reunion with his former faction can’t be ruled out. But for now, he’s set his sights on NXT and the challenge presented by Wes Lee. Fans will surely be eagerly anticipating the outcome of this potential matchup.
